Scott Kowalchyk is a New York City based photographer whose work spans entertainment, editorial, music, corporate, and brand photography. Over more than two decades, he has earned the trust of productions, creative agencies, global brands, and editorial organizations by creating authentic imagery in environments where timing, discretion, and consistency are essential.

His photography has appeared in The New York Times as well as leading national and entertainment publications, with additional distribution through major news organizations and image licensing platforms.

He began his professional career in San Francisco, documenting the city's independent music, fashion, and arts communities before expanding into editorial and commercial assignments. His early work documenting music festivals, editorial stories, and commercial assignments established a foundation in visual storytelling that continues to shape his work today.

As his career evolved, he served as staff photographer for the first three Electric Zoo music festivals and the first two editions of The BPM Festival while assisting Pulitzer Prize–winning photographer John Filo at CBS Photo. Those experiences led to a decade as staff photographer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert at the historic Ed Sullivan Theater.

During his tenure, he photographed everything from monologues and musical performances to backstage portraits, publicity photography, and behind-the-scenes coverage of thousands of actors, musicians, filmmakers, athletes, political leaders, and cultural figures. The experience refined his ability to create compelling imagery under the fast-paced deadlines of network television production.

Beyond entertainment, he has partnered with creative agencies, production companies, and global brands on brand campaigns, corporate events, and branded content. His clients include CBS, Amazon Web Services, American Express, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, BOX, Momentum Worldwide, among others.
